Algerian giants JS Kabylie secured a hard-fought victory over Ghana’s Accra-based Gold Stars to book their place in the next round of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League. The 2-0 win in the preliminary clash highlighted JS Kabylie’s experience and clinical finishing, leaving Gold Stars with valuable lessons from their continental campaign.

The first half saw JS Kabylie dominate possession, creating multiple scoring opportunities. Their persistence paid off when a well-executed attack resulted in the opening goal, sending their fans into a frenzy. Gold Stars struggled to find rhythm but showed resilience in defense, preventing a larger deficit.

In the second half, JS Kabylie continued to control the game, adding a second goal that sealed their progression. Despite the loss, Gold Stars’ players demonstrated determination and tactical discipline, earning praise from fans and analysts for their spirited performance.

The victory marks another step forward for JS Kabylie in their pursuit of continental glory, while Gold Stars will regroup and focus on domestic competitions, hoping to gain further experience in African football’s elite tournament.
