Salford City have completed the signing of experienced winger Kadeem Harris on a one-year contract, as the ambitious League Two side looks to bolster its promotion hopes for the upcoming season.

The 32-year-old arrives at the Peninsula Stadium as a free agent after a brief spell with Carlisle United, where he signed a short-term deal in November 2024. Harris brings a wealth of experience to Salford, having featured for several clubs across England and Europe.

A product of Wycombe Wanderers, Harris made his name during a seven-and-a-half-year tenure at Cardiff City, where he became a key figure. He later enjoyed a two-year spell with Sheffield Wednesday before taking his talents abroad, with stints in Ukraine and Turkey broadening his football résumé.

Speaking to Salford’s official website, Harris expressed enthusiasm about his new challenge and confidence in the club’s ambitions.

“I am happy to be here, excited to get going and I cannot wait to get started,” he said. “This is an exciting club on the up. I know the club has tried to get promoted the last few years and haven’t been successful, unfortunately, but I believe this year could be the year, and will be the year.”

Harris also noted his familiarity with Salford’s squad, having faced them last season, and praised their attacking style.

“I played against the team last season, quite a few of the same players are still here, and Salford have always been a club which has excited me. They’re very good going forward and I want to be a part of that, and part of a promotion. I think we can do that this year.”

Salford City have narrowly missed out on promotion in recent campaigns, and Harris’s arrival is seen as a valuable addition to their attacking options. With his pace, versatility, and wealth of experience, he is expected to play a key role in the Ammies’ push for League One football.
