West Ham Turn Down £50m Tottenham Bid for Mohammed Kudus

West Ham United have turned down a £50 million offer from Tottenham Hotspur for Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus, with negotiations ongoing as Spurs push to secure the highly sought-after attacker.

Kudus, 24, is reportedly open to a move away from the London Stadium this summer and is prioritising a transfer to a club competing in the UEFA Champions League. Tottenham, who earned a place in next season’s competition after winning the Europa League, fit that criteria and remain firmly in the race for his signature.

Sources close to the player indicate that West Ham are open to parting ways with Kudus, but only for the right price. The former Ajax star has an £85 million release clause in his contract, and while Spurs are hopeful of negotiating a deal below that figure, the Hammers are holding firm for now.

Kudus joined West Ham in 2023 for £38 million and has quickly established himself as a key figure in the squad. In his 65 Premier League appearances, he has registered 13 goals and nine assists, showcasing his value and versatility in attacking roles.

Several elite European clubs have expressed interest in Kudus, with at least six teams making enquiries in recent weeks. Chelsea are among the clubs monitoring the situation closely, adding to the mounting competition for the dynamic Ghana international.

Despite having three years left on his contract, West Ham may be willing to cash in on one of their prized assets this summer. New manager Graham Potter is preparing for his first full season in charge and is expected to oversee a significant squad overhaul. Proceeds from a potential Kudus sale could be reinvested into strengthening the team.

With talks between Tottenham and West Ham ongoing, Kudus’s future remains one of the most closely watched transfer sagas of the summer.
