Ghanaian international and former Crystal Palace defender Jeffrey Schlupp has completed a free transfer to Norwich City, bringing his vast Premier League experience and versatility to Carrow Road ahead of the new season.
The 32-year-old’s move follows a productive loan spell with Celtic, where he impressed with his adaptability and quality. After parting ways with Crystal Palace, Schlupp’s next destination was uncertain, but recent developments cleared the path for a new chapter with Norwich.
A product of the Leicester City academy, Schlupp made over 150 appearances for the Foxes, playing a key role in their historic 2015/16 Premier League title-winning campaign. Across his career, he has featured in over 260 English top-flight matches, showcasing his ability to operate in multiple roles, including left-back, central midfield, and left wing.
Norwich City manager and fans will be hopeful that Schlupp’s leadership, versatility, and winning mentality will prove instrumental as the Canaries aim for a return to the Premier League.
Schlupp is set to link up with fellow Ghanaian international Forson Amankwah, who joined Norwich in 2024. His arrival also makes him the fourth Ghana-eligible player to represent the club in its history.
With promotion ambitions high, Schlupp’s experience and professionalism are expected to be key assets in the club’s campaign.
