Hamburger SV manager Merlin Polzin has expressed his delight at having Ghanaian striker Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer back in the squad following the collapse of his proposed move to OGC Nice.
“I feel sorry for him,” Polzin admitted, acknowledging the player’s disappointment. “At first, there’s some disappointment, which is completely human. But he’s back in our team and a true professional.”
Despite the setback, Polzin is pleased with Königsdörffer’s attitude and professionalism, highlighting their strong relationship. “I’m happy to have Ransford back. He takes life as it comes.”
Königsdörffer will rejoin his teammates for pre-season training, with Polzin expecting him to play a vital role in the upcoming Bundesliga campaign. The Ghanaian forward was pivotal in HSV’s promotion last season, scoring 14 goals in 30 matches.
