FIFA has officially announced that ticket applications for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will open on Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Football fans around the world eager to attend the tournament are required to register and create a FIFA ID at FIFA.com/tickets to participate in the initial draw for tickets.
The 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, is already building momentum and excitement following the recent success of the FIFA Club World Cup held in the U.S.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming global event, calling it the most significant sporting occasion in history.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the world back to North America, as Canada, Mexico, and the United States host what will be the biggest and greatest sporting event ever,” Infantino said.
“We encourage fans everywhere to get ready to secure their place, these will be the most coveted seats in world sport.”
FIFA confirmed that the ticketing process will roll out in multiple phases, each with its own purchasing methods, payment options, and ticket categories. Additional details will be released monthly as the tournament approaches.
The final tournament draw is scheduled for December 2025, during which qualified teams will learn their group stage opponents, assigned match venues, and kick-off times.
The 2026 World Cup officially kicks off on Thursday, June 11, in Mexico City, with the grand final slated for Sunday, July 19, in the New York/New Jersey area.
