FIFA has officially confirmed the dates and times for Ghana’s next two fixtures in the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers, as the Black Stars prepare to take on Chad and Mali in crucial Group I encounters.
The first of the two matches will see Ghana travel to N’Djamena to face Chad at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno on Thursday, September 4, with kickoff scheduled for 13:00 GMT. This Matchday 7 fixture marks a critical away test for Otto Addo’s men.
Four days later, on Monday, September 8, Ghana will return home to host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the match kicking off at 19:00 GMT. The Matchday 8 clash will be pivotal in maintaining their lead in the group.
The Black Stars currently sit at the top of Group I with 15 points, having won five and lost one of their six matches. They lead second-placed Comoros by three points and are five points clear of Madagascar in third.
With the final two qualifiers set for October, these September fixtures present an opportunity for Ghana to tighten their grip on the top spot and move one step closer to securing a place at the 2026 World Cup.
Manager Otto Addo and his squad will be under pressure to deliver strong performances in both games as they aim to continue their impressive form and qualify for their fifth World Cup.
