The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) and Danone, a global leader in food and nutrition in Africa, have announced an agreement making Danone an Official Partner of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (“AFCON”) Morocco 2025 and the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (“WAFCON”) Morocco 2024.

This Partnership strengthens Danone’s commitment to promoting health through food across the African continent, where both sport and nutrition play an essential role in daily life and community development.

As an Official Partner, Danone will share its expertise in nutrition for all ages by providing nutritious dairy products to over 10,000 volunteers, 5,000 accredited journalists, as well as numerous officials and team members involved in these two major international football events.

Beyond the pitch, Danone is committed to working alongside CAF in its CAF African Schools Football Championship, where it is developing educational kits for boys and girls school footballers, to promote the importance of a balanced diet and regular physical activity from an early age.

CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe said: “CAF is excited about its Partnership with Danone which is a globally respected food and beverage company. We are pleased to welcome Danone as one of CAF Official Partners for the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Morocco 2025 and TotalEnergies CAF WAFCON Morocco 2024. CAF and Danone are committed to developing football amongst our youth in Africa and both entities upholds similar values of honesty, integrity and hard work. I am confident that this Partnership will contribute to more healthy nutrition amongst our youth and the pursuit of healthier lifestyles by our people in Africa.  This Partnership also reflects the confidence that internationally respected companies like Danone have in CAF as a partner in developing football in Africa and as a force for good in Africa and globally.”

Antoine de Saint-Affrique, CEO of Danone said: “This partnership fully reflects our mission: to bring health through food to as many people as possible. The values of these competitions, proximity, transmission, accessibility, deeply resonate with those of Danone. We are proud to be part of these iconic events to showcase our brands and vision across Africa.”

Danone products will be available in the stadiums and official fan zones, allowing spectators to experience quality nutrition close to the action. Six flagship brands from Danone’s African portfolio, Danone, FanMilk, Dan’Up, Nutriday, Assiri, and Jamila, will be showcased throughout the competitions via campaigns and engaging public activities.

This partnership is part of Danone’s long-term strategy to enhance its positive impact on local communities through a sustainable approach to food.
