The Ghana Boxing Federation [GBF) on Thursday unveiled a new logo at the Media Centre of the Accra Sports Stadium whilst announcing the finalists of the 2025 National Individual Amateur Boxing Championship.

Before the unveiling, the finalists were made to introduce themselves to the media ahead of the grand finale at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Friday, February 27th,2026.

Chairman for the event Nana Amponsh Adu-Gyamfi, Kyidomhene of Assin Achiase in the Assin South District Assembly hailed the new executives for the vision in creating a new identity to showcase their service to Ghana Boxing.

Meanwhile President of the Ghana Boxing Federation [GBF] Dauda Fuseni, said the day marks a significant milestone in the history of Ghanaian boxing describing the logo as more than just a symbol.

He said It represents the identity, vision, values, and direction of the federation. It tells a story — the story of who we are, where we have come from, and where we are going.

“For decades, Ghana has been a proud boxing nation, producing remarkable talents and unforgettable moments on both continental and global stages. As sport continues to evolve, it has become necessary for our Federation’s image to reflect a modern, dynamic, and forward-looking organization.

This new logo symbolizes renewal, strength, unity, and excellence. It reflects our commitment to professionalism, transparency, youth development, and international competitiveness. It embodies the fighting spirit of the Ghanaian boxer — disciplined, resilient, and fearless” he stressed.

He also maintained that the unveiling of the logo is not merely a cosmetic change. It signals a new chapter — a renewed focus on grassroots development, improved governance, strategic partnerships, and preparation of our athletes for major international competitions.

“We believe this new identity will inspire our athletes, energize our stakeholders, and strengthen our brand both locally and internationally. It aligns with our broader vision of repositioning Ghanaian boxing to reclaim its rightful place among the world’s elite boxing nations” he expressed.

All the executive board members were in attendance as well as the finalists
