Ghana international Kofi Kyereh has taken a major step in his recovery journey after making a long-awaited return to full training with SC Freiburg, following a prolonged absence due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

Kyereh has been sidelined for several months after sustaining the serious knee injury, a setback that halted his momentum just as he was establishing himself as an important figure in Freiburg’s squad. His return to the training pitch marks a significant milestone both for the player and the club as he edges closer to competitive action.

The attacking midfielder participated in structured team sessions, signaling positive progress in his rehabilitation and fitness levels. Freiburg’s medical and technical staff have carefully managed Kyereh’s recovery, ensuring a gradual reintegration to reduce the risk of recurrence.

For Kyereh, the comeback represents the end of a challenging period marked by patience, discipline, and mental resilience. The former St. Pauli man has been a key creative outlet when fit, known for his versatility, work rate, and ability to contribute goals and assists from midfield.

While no official timeline has been given for his return to matchday action, Freiburg are expected to ease him back into competitive football over the coming weeks as he continues to build sharpness and confidence.

Kyereh’s return will be welcomed not only by Freiburg supporters but also by Ghana fans, as the Black Stars monitor his progress ahead of future international commitments. His successful recovery adds a timely boost to both club and country as he looks to rediscover his rhythm and make an impact once again.
